goWorkout Houston is hosting a fun community fitness event to raise funds for Buffalo Bayou Partnership and help them rebuild the bayou we all love after it was damaged from Hurricane Harvey. We have chosen the hottest fitness studios and trainers in Houston to give you a sample of their most popular workouts! Come workout with friends, stay for a complimentary mimosa (more available for purchase) and enjoy the amazing downtown view!

Come workout with friends, stay for a complimentary mimosa (more available for purchase), healthy bites and enjoy the amazing downtown view! If you are one of the FIRST 200 to purchase a ticket you get an amazing swag bag with water, Kind Bar, Coola sunscreen and more! We will also be raffling off some great prizes (you don’t have to be present to win).
Location: 105 Sabine Street, Houston, TX 77007. Check-in will be behind the visitor center near the large stage. Take the ramp or stairs up to the back area of the visitor center and look for our signs.
Time: Check-in starts at 8:30am and then the workout portion will be from 9am-10:15am. The post-workout party is from 10:15am-11am.
What To Bring: Bring a yoga mat (or towel) and water. The water works building does have a water fountain and additional drinks for purchase. Also, you will be able to purchase an extra mimosa for a $5 cash donation – so bring cash (you can also pre-pay when you purchase your ticket online).
What time should I arrive and do I have to stay for the whole 2 hours? We encourage you to arrive between 8:30am -9am to check in and receive your swag bag before the event starts at 9am. If you need to arrive after 9am, that’s completely fine and you also do not have to stay for the whole workout (or the post-workout party). If you are a late riser – you can always purchase a ticket (it’s for a good cause!) and just show up with friends to enjoy a mimosa!
What will the workouts be like? We are featuring 5 of Houston’s hottest fitness studios that will give you a 15 minute sample of their most popular workout classes. We have a mix of Bootcamp, HIIT, Tabata, Dance, Pilates, Toning and Yoga! A little something for everyone! We encourage you to try all of the workout styles – but if you arrive late or need to leave early that’s fine. See below for more details on the workout as well as studio information and instructor bios!
What will the weather be like? Most of you know…H-tow weather is going to be hot and humid in June! So, be sure to stay hydrated and wear cool clothing. You will be in the sun for most of the workout – but the workout party will be in the shade and their are shaded/covered areas near the stage.
What all does my ticket include? Your ticket includes access to all of the workouts (9am-10:15am) plus 1 ticket for a free mimosa (or juice). In addition, if you are one of the first 200 to purchase a ticket you get a swag bag with samples from some of our sponsors!
Can I purchase extra mimosas or juice? Yes, you can buy an extra mimosa ticket on our event ticket page . You can also purchase an extra mimosa in person the day of the event by purchasing one with a $5 cash donation to Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
How old do you have to be to attend? You need to be at least 21 to attend since we are serving alcohol at the event.
Do I need to be in good shape to participate? No. These workouts will be for “all-levels” (beginner through advanced). Each studio and instructor will offer modifications to make exercises easier or harder. If the workout is ever too hard – it’s fine to take a break and grab some water, or just go a little slower! No judging here! We just want everyone to have fun!
Are their restrooms nearby? Yes, there are nice restrooms at the visitor center right by our event.
What should I wear? It’s going to be hot in H-Town, so we recommend dressing for the hot weather and wearing cool, breathable fabrics. Shorts, cropped leggings and tanks are always good options. If you prefer to wear very little clothing (sports bra only or shirtless for men, etc) – just make sure it’s tasteful! You need to look good in our event photos!
Do I need to bring any equipment? Yes, we recommend you bring a yoga mat or towel for this event to make it more comfortable to do the exercises on the ground, yoga and core work. We will have water on-site but it’s always a good idea to bring extra, especially when working out in the heat.
Is this is charity event? Yes. Proceeds of our ticket sales will go to benefit Buffalo Bayou Partnership who is a registered 501 (c)(3) charity.
